Here are the 10 most searched topics across the world for 2014.

1.Robin Williams

Robin Williams died in August, 2014 in his home in California. The Coroner later confirmed Williams took his own life. The news shocked the entertainment world with fellow actors and fans paying tribute to the Oscar-winning actor.



2. FIFA World Cup 2014

European qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup consisted of a group stage and a play-off round, providing 13 UEFA member nations for the 32-team final tournament in Brazil

Ebola virus disease (EVD; also Ebola hemorrhagic fever, or EHF), or simply Ebola, is a disease of humans and other primates caused by ebolaviruses.

The unexpected 2013 hit movie by Disney surpassed all expectations for popularity among children across the world. The soundtrack spawned one of the most popular songs in history, Let it Go.

10. Sochi Olympics

The Winter Olympics in February took out 10th place in the Google list of most popular search terms.
